Sehome and Squalicum’s girls’ bowling teams suffered 3-0 losses on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Glacier Lanes. The Mariners took a 3-0 loss to Jackson, while the Storm lost to Cascade.
Squalicum’s third game came down to the final ball, but the Storm were just short 647-640. They lost the first two games 647-576 and 612-574.
640 was Squalicum’s high score as a team, coach Erin Furda said in a phone interview. Cortney Coppinger had the high score with scores of 159, 172, 192. Abby Runge added a 111 in the third game, her high for the season after averaging 67 as an alternate.
Sehome lost 647-623, 649-606 and 652-533.
This was the first time this season the Mariners have had two games out of three over 600, Furda said. Simone Hall’s 147 was her best all year, she added.
Both teams compete again Thursday, Dec. 18. Sehome takes on Cascade, while Squalicum will play Jackson in Lynnwood.
