The Bellingham boys’ tennis team defeated Sedro-Woolley 7-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Bellingham in a Northwest Conference matchup.
The Red Raiders took every match in straight sets except for a marathon game between Garrett Walker and Connor McCandless. Walker ended up claiming the deciding third set, 10-8 in a super-tiebreak.
“I think he liked the extra room,” said Bellingham coach Steve Chronister of Walker’s first ever singles match, in a phone interview.
Everyone else cruised through their respective matches.
Never miss a local story.
“We were pretty sharp all over today,” he said. “I thought we played well at every spot.”
