The Sehome boys’ tennis team changed its lineup up a bit, trying new configurations, but still seeing the same result in a 7-0 win over Sedro-Woolley on Thursday, Oct. 9, at Sedro in a Northwest Conference matchup.
“I changed it up a whole lot. Wanted to give these guys a chance to play another position,” Sehome coach Bonna Giller said in a phone interview. “Tennis is tennis, and they adapted well.”
Dane Faris’ three-set win against John Batts proved the match of the night, as Faris dropped a grueling second set 11-9 in the tiebreak before winning the final set 6-2. The play of doubles pairing Alex Harris and Kiefer Thomas also caught the eye of Giller, who praised the way they were able to limit the Cubs’ Miles Doorn and Sam Hudson.
