Sunni Sternhagen provided the Bellingham girls’ swimming team with its lone win against Anacortes in a 124-58 Northwest Conference loss on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Fidalgo Pool.
Anna McNabb and Sydney Terrell both recorded two second-place finishes, but it was the diving portion that caught Red Raiders coach Jeff Anderson.
“Our divers did great. First and second place in diving, have to be happy about that,” Anderson said in a phone interview. “We just tried to get in there and do our best.”
Bellingham (2-2) will face Sehome on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Arne Hanna Aquatic Center.
