Western Washington University’s Jenn Paul has been selected Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for Oct. 19-25. It is her second weekly honor since her collegiate career began four weeks ago.
Paul, a freshman from Bellingham, finished the fall portion of the 2014-15 GNAC season with the lowest scoring average (74.0) after shooting rounds of 70 and 78 at the Sonoma State Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
Paul tied for third in medalist play on the par 72, 5,812-yard Foxtail Golf Club course in leading the Vikings to a second-place team finish.
Paul placed second at the 2014 Class 2A state high school tournament last spring, while receiving Northwest Conference. She finished among the top five at state all four years as a high school player, helping Bellingham to state titles each time.
