Western Washington University middle blocker Kayla Erickson has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive co-Player of the Week for Oct. 5-11.
Erickson, a senior from Gig Harbor, had 30 kills and hit for a .490 percentage as the Vikings swept Western Oregon and Saint Martin’s on the road. She also had a team-high five blocks.
The GNAC weekly honor was the second straight and third overall for Erickson, who was the defensive award winner two weeks ago. She earned second-team Daktronics All-America and GNAC Player of the Year honors in 2013.
Erickson shared the honor with Central Washington's Jordan Deming.
