Best live music: Wild Buffalo House of Music

208 W. Holly St., 752-0848
www.wildbuffalo.net

Hours: 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday-Sunday; closed Monday except for special occasions

From the boss: “I think people have noticed that Wild Buffalo is primarily built around providing quality music and dancing more than anything else. Also, I put a lot of time into creating and maintaining the space, and people seem to appreciate that." — John Goodman, owner

Reader rave: “The Wild Buffalo is totally eclectic and reminds me of a real Southern blues bar.” — Linda Hawley, Bellingham

Highlights: With a blues invitational jam every Tuesday, acoustic open mic on Wednesdays, live rock and roll on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and swing on Sundays, the Wild Buffalo is hopping almost every night of the week.

Check out nationally recognized blues artists as well as the best regional bands who regularly play here — you won’t be able to resist getting up and dancing. On a wholesome note, the House of Music was one of Washington’s original nonsmoking venues even before state law forced every other bar to do the same.
