Collegium Musicum performance stunning, but audience scant

Sadly, I have to tell you what you missed: an absolutely stunning one-and-a-half-hour musical event, "The Birthday Cantata for Swedish King Gustav III," performed on May 11 at WWU's Performing Arts Center Concert Hall by Western's superb Collegium Musicum.

Rant: Medical workers should set standard for hygiene

I lived in Asia for many years and while in Hong Kong did a course at the British Council in teaching English. It was an eye opener for me that I was told "never to lick my fingers" to separate pages as Chinese students would not accept the page. I once forgot and that indeed happened.

I am really glad "Rules of the Road" April 14 wrote about the law for passing a parked patrol car with lights flashing. A lot of people are unsure of what to do when they see a patrol car on the side of the road with lights on, myself included.
