Lyn Peters is Director of Communications, Financial Education & Outreach for the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions. She will call on the experts within the Department of Financial Institutions to answer your financial questions. The department seeks to regulate financial services to protect and educate the public and promote economic vitality. Lyn has been with the department since June 2007. Prior to finding a new calling within the financial literacy outreach programs, she worked as a reporter, editor and readership editor in the newspaper industry. She has worked in communities throughout our state and understands that Washingtonians from all walks of life want the financial freedom to live the life of their dreams. Working for the department, she hopes to help at least a few folks get the information they need to do just that.

Rules of the Road

David Wright is a retired officer from the Bellingham Police Department who is now serving as the Target Zero manager of the Whatcom County Traffic Safety Task Force. Target Zero, a goal of the Washington State Strategic Highway Safety Plan, is to achieve zero deaths and disabling injuries on state highways by 2030. He will answer your questions about the rules of the road, safe driving habits and general police practices.

Anitra Accetturo is the Water Conservation Specialist for Bellingham Public Works. She has been working in the water conservation field for the past six years. She and other Public Works staff will answer your questions about the watering restrictions and water conservation.
