Q: First time user of this new site. Had previously registered with my email address and password of MLHS1956 to place ads for Norway Hall's Swedish pancake breakfast. However my efforts indicate username is incorrect and email already in use. Please help so I can find the old info and place my free breakfast ad. Thanks much.

Q: Hello, Is there a form on this site to create an ad for the newspaper? I have a parcel of land to list and not interested in the package shown on this site. I had in mind to be able to pay for an ad by the word. Thanks, Doug

A: Doug, You can place a classified ad by using our website by going to the classified tab on the right side on top of the Herald home page. From there you click on the box that says “place an ad”. The direct link is http://bellinghamherald.adperfect.com/ . The system will walk you through the process after that. If you have any problems or would like to have a media consultant place the ad for you, you can call 360-676-2610. Thanks Sam

Q: Why are there SO MANY pop under ads on the site ?Always.EVERY DAY?! I click ONE article, only one, when I first log on and I have that ridiculous Netflix and RateMarketplace.com ? It is becoming extremely tiresome and I will have to stop coming here if there are too many ads each day.Thanks.

A: I can understand your frustration with the pop-under display advertising. But it is important to understand that it is advertising like this that allows The Bellingham Herald to provide local news and information at no cost to online users like you. As we move forward with online news and information, we try to balance our revenue needs with our reader’s expectations, and it is feedback like this that we appreciate and consider when making decisions. Thanks for the feedback Sam Aldrich

Q: Hello Sam, The B'ham Alumni Concert Band would like to place an ad for an upcoming fund raising event dated June 13. We'd like to consider a paid ad in the Herald and an announcement in the Take Five. How do I begin? Is it possible to have a small article written about our group placed on the same page as an ad?

A: Jenny, You can give Hillary Thomsen a call at 360-715-2278. She can walk you through the process as well as email you information on how to get a press release submited to the newsroom. Hillary is familiar with your account as she worked with them last year for this event. Thanks
