The Whatcom Creek Trail (Middle Section)/Salmon Park gives runners and walkers the opportunity to see this previously devastated Whatcom Creek area springing back to life.

Follow the flat, wide gravel path from the trailhead (just east of intersection of Fraser and Puget streets) a short distance toward the creek. Once reaching the foot, follow the trail up or downstream along the creek and get plenty of views of the recovering stream area.

The eastern route will go past the totem poles of Salmon Park.

To the west, discover the newest part of the trail, an exciting addition in the quest to provide a greenbelt connector all the way from Lake Whatcom to Bellingham Bay. This section of the Whatcom Creek Trail is approximately one mile long and is bordered by Woburn and Lincoln streets.
