When I first met Satpal Sidhu several years ago I recognized him to be respectful, bright and eager to learn. When he volunteered to work with us on the Lynden bond levee to replace the inadequate Middle School, I understood that he cared deeply about education and that he was willing to contribute to our school and children.
When George and I attended the Sikh Temple one Sunday a few years ago, Satpal greeted us and helped us prepare for the shared meal.
But it was after Satpal offered to run to represent us in the state legislature's 42nd District that I learned of the breadth and depth of this man and of his accomplishments. He gets things done. As an engineer he has designed and built refineries in Ferndale and Anacortes and has managed a solar energy company. As a Dean and educator at Bellingham Technical College he has set up programs that have led to good-paying jobs for many local young people.
Now I am asking you to check out information, to think about your choice, and to consider voting for this man who understands science and engineering and who has experience in starting and managing local businesses. This primary will determine the top two to go on to the general election and we need to keep him in the race. We need him with his skills and knowledge representing us in Olympia.
