Today I see on the internet that a famous auction house is about to open bidding on a wide array of firearms and other deadly weapons. In The Herald's "Today In History" I read that on this date a president was assassinated, a famous soccer player was assassinated, a basketball coach was assassinated, and a disgruntled worker assassinated five co-workers. Thank heavens for the 2nd Amendment, without which we wouldn't be able to keep a blunderbuss in our car, under our pillow, or on our person to protect ourselves. Especially after today's wide-open auction.
