No longer teaching cursive in school? Wonderful! That was a well-thought-out plan. Our youth will grow up without the ability to read historical records, old family letters, family diaries, original vital records - such as birth, marriage and death; not to mention signatures.
Of course, they don't teach much American history anymore either. My generation was taught American history in school, which taught us to have respect for our ancestors and what they achieved. It taught us patriotism for our country. Is that all to be lost? Perhaps requiring our youth to watch a few John Wayne movies would be helpful.
Just wonderful! Keep up the good work you educators and "progressives" out there. We are proud of you!
