The Bellingham Herald has again partnered with the League of Women Voters of Bellingham/Whatcom County and the City of Bellingham to bring you more information on your voting choices in the Nov. 4 general election.
We invite you to join us at a series of forums with candidates and initiative representatives. Our editorial board will attend to form our opinions for our local endorsements. Members of the League of Women Voters will moderate the panels. There are two forums remaining:
• Candidates for Congressional Districts 1 and 2 and 42nd District State Senate have been invited to speak at the forum at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Bellingham Municipal Court Chambers, 2014 C St.;
• Candidates for State Representative in the 40th and 42nd Districts have been invited to speak at the forum at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, in the Bellingham Municipal Court Chambers.
The league will take written audience questions for the candidates during the events.
The forums will be televised live and repeated on Bellingham’s BTV Channel 10. The telecasts will also be available on demand on the city’s website and audio will be available on radio stations KMRE-LP and KAVZ-LP.
Ballots are scheduled to be mailed Oct. 19 and are due by Nov. 4. We hope you will take this opportunity to become a more informed voter.
