BELLINGHAM - Washington State Patrol troopers are still looking for the semi-truck driver believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run early Saturday morning, June 20, in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 north of the Iowa Street exit.

Michael S. Whitworth, 22, of Dillon, Mont., was struck and killed about 4:45 a.m. The truck that hit him left the scene. It may have damage to its right front and is possibly missing a plastic cap from one of its wheel lugs.

As of Monday afternoon, there were no suspects or new leads, said Trooper Keith Leary.

The State Patrol is asking anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information regarding it to call the State Patrol at (360) 658-2588.
