U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents in Blaine arrested a Honduran national Oct. 19 after he allegedly attempted to illegally enter the U.S. from Canada by stowing himself in a rail car.

Jeziel Elvir-Arteaga, 26, was discovered when agents X-rayed the rail car and saw an outline of his body, according to CBP Chief Tom Schreiber.

Elvir-Arteaga was identified when agents scanned his fingerprints and found matches in a computer database. He has twice been removed from the U.S.

Elvir-Arteaga is awaiting criminal prosecution in the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma.
