Two protesters scaled a fence, chained themselves to a crane and unfurled a banner Monday at the site of a liquefied natural gas storage facility under construction at the Port of Tacoma. Outside the gates a group of protesters largely comprising Puyallup Tribal members and local residents said they are trying to halt construction of the Puget Sound Energy facility, which they believe will pose a danger to the region. A spokesman said the men who locked themselves to the crane plan to remain there for the rest of the day.
Video from a City of Bellevue traffic camera shows a man getting into a three-point-stance, then attempt to cross an intersection while vehicles had a green light Wednesday. He ran into the side of a passing Tesla SUV, causing damage to the care while getting knocked off his feet. He then ran away.
