First African-American grandmaster enters U.S. Chess Hall of Fame

Maurice Ashley is the first African-American to be inducted into the U.S. Chess Hall of Fame in St. Louis

He was inducted for his contributions as a player, coach and commentator

Ashley says he wants to see more African-American players reach the highest levels
