‘The Capper Trap:’ A Comedy Fundraiser
North County Christ the King hosts a family friendly comedy of secret identities and silly situations set in the 1940s at 7 p.m. April 21, 22, 28 and 29 at the church’s worship center, 1816 18th St., Lynden.
All proceeds will benefit an outreach to Kenya through the Refinery Discipleship Program at NCCTK.

Super Hero 5K Run/Walk
The event begins with registration at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at Bloedel Donovan Park, 2214 Electric Ave. The race starts at 9 a.m. and travels through Whatcom Falls Park and ends back at Bloedel Donovan.
All proceeds go toward helping families in transition with childcare and activity costs.

Bellingham Bay Bocce Tournament
Boccemon’s 14th Annual Bellingham Bay Bocce Tournament is from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the Bellingham Sportsplex, 1225 Civic Field Way.
All donations, including the $10 salmon barbecue, benefit the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center.

Miss Whatcom County 2016 Angela Ramous hosts a “Taste of Talent “ fundraiser to raise money and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network, at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, 1110 14th St.
The Miss America Organization has partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network since 2007. All donations support the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Bellingham Alumni Band
The Bellingham Alumni Band’s Spring Concert is its major fundraising event, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Whatcom Community College’s Syre Auditorium, 237 W. Kellogg Road.
Proceeds go to scholarships to assist graduating high school students who are pursuing studies in music, and to music education in the Bellingham School District.
