A senior at Western Washington University was crowned Miss Whatcom County 2015 in a ceremony Saturday, March 7.
Kimberly Wolfe, 21, tap danced for her talent during the event at Whatcom Community College. Her platform was advocating for people to register to determine if they are a match for someone needing a bone marrow donation.
Wolfe, whose parents live in Aberdeen, will receive $4,350 in various scholarships and will compete for Miss Washington in Renton in July.
Brittney Brown, also a WWU student, was the first runner-up. Brown, 19, will receive $2,550 in scholarships.
Never miss a local story.
