Parents who would like to learn more about their child’s development can take them to a free developmental screening clinic for children ages birth to 5 on Monday, Feb. 2.
The clinic is presented free of charge by Bellingham School District and the Opportunity Council. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Luke’s Community Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Parkway.
The clinic gives parents a chance to speak with an early childhood specialist. Screenings can take up to an hour.
Children will be given a questionnaire designed to look at their development in communication, cognition, motor skills and social development. Specialists will also check vision and hearing.
