People have until Jan. 31 to nominate someone who does good for the community for the next round of the Volunteers with Heart program.
The Volunteer Center of Whatcom County is accepting nominations.
To qualify, nominees must volunteer through an agency that partners with the center. The nomination form also asks for a short statement about why a volunteer has heart, a photo and contact information for the nominator and nominee.
A volunteer committee reviews nominations quarterly and selects those being honored.
Never miss a local story.
Submit nominations by going online to whatcomvolunteer.org. Select “volunteers with heart” under “programs” on the home page.
Learn more by contacting Mel Monkelis, the center’s program director, at 360-734-3055 or MelM@WhatcomVolunteer.org.
