United Way of Whatcom County will once again open up its funding, and interested nonprofits can learn more at a meeting Friday, Jan. 23.
Groups that wish to apply for grants from United Way’s Community Impact Fund must attend the event, which is 9 a.m. at its new office on the second floor of the Washington Federal Building, at the corner of Cornwall Avenue and East Champion Street.
Grants could range from $5,000 to $50,000. Money comes from United Way’s fall fundraising campaign.
United Way is offering funding opportunities to more nonprofit organizations in Whatcom County to match new goals in education, income and health in the community.
