High school students interested in receiving training in high-demand jobs while earning high school and college credits can apply for the 2014-15 second semester at the Northwest Career & Technical Academy.
The academy offers tuition-free training for high school, home school and GED students under 21, and has programs on campuses in both Whatcom and Skagit counties.
The academy is now accepting applications for the semester that runs from Jan. 27 through June 12.
The Whatcom campus will hold the first session of a sustainable engineering program. The Mount Vernon campus will offer second sessions of dental, video game programming, health care and business programs. Both first and second sessions of a culinary arts program will be offered on the Mount Vernon campus as well.
