Brace for another night of breezy, fall weather as the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for western Whatcom County starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21.
Winds will increase Tuesday evening and peak overnight. Expect south winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph in areas near the coast. Heavy rain also is expected.
Winds could be strong enough to snap tree branches and possibly knock down trees, especially those still loaded with leaves. Power outages are possible.
The advisory is scheduled to end at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
