Expect up to 3,000 cyclists pedaling through Whatcom County starting Friday afternoon, Aug. 15, for the annual Ride to Seattle and Vancouver Party.
Riders will start in Seattle and make their way up the coast on various roads. They should enter Whatcom County via Chuckanut Drive, traveling through Fairhaven and eventually out to the Samish Way area, where many will stop for the evening.
Their second day of riding takes them through downtown Bellingham to Northwest Avenue, on Wiser Lake Road and up Hannegan Road before they go through Lynden and eventually cross the border into Canada.
The ride, sponsored by Cascade Bicycle Club, is in two waves, so expect riders through Sunday.
