BELLINGHAM - If you thought it felt unseasonably soggy on Wednesday, Aug. 13, you were right.
Bellingham broke its rainfall record for Aug. 13, with 0.51 inch of rain measured at Bellingham International Airport.
The previous record for that date was 0.45 inch was set in 1966, according to the National Weather Service.
Despite the record rainfall midweek, things should dry up by the weekend. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the 70s. The warm weather and clear skies should continue through the beginning of next week.
