The public is invited to the Wednesday, Aug. 6, committee meeting for the Ten Mile Creek Clean Water Project.
It will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. at BelleWood Acres, 6140 Guide Meridian, north of Bellingham.
The project is led by volunteers who are working to reduce fecal coliform levels in the Ten Mile Creek drainage, which includes Ten Mile, Deer and Four Mile creeks. RE Sources' North Sound Baykeeper program is coordinating the effort.
The meeting will include an open public comment session, a review of recent water quality data, and guest speaker George Boggs, director of the Whatcom Conservation District. He will talk about "Policies for Environmental Protection, Recovery and Prosperity on the Agricultural Landscape."
