State officials have pushed back the date of a major 87-hour Interstate 5 lane closure, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The closure is now scheduled to take place next week; it was previously scheduled for this week.
This will be the second closure to a lane of 12 miles of northbound I-5 roughly between Burlington and Lake Samish. During the first one, which occurred the week of June 20, they built and repaved major sections of I-5.
