BELLINGHAM - A new business that wants to help teenagers succeed in school is having a grand opening this week on the Bellingham waterfront.
Anchor Society will have a grand opening ceremony starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at 21 Bellwether Way, Suite 107.
The goal of the business is to be a resource for teens and families in the community, said Jamie Shannon, founder of Anchor Society, in a news release. Licensed professionals will provide services that including counseling, life coaching and tutoring. The facility will have a Homework Café that serves as a distraction-free place to get homework done, according to the news release.
