COLLEGE SOCCER: Whatcom soccer goes 1-1 against Shoreline

The Whatcom Community College men's soccer team defeated Shoreline Community College right after the Whatcom women's soccer team suffered a loss from Shoreline in a double matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The Whatcom men capitalized on a 1-0 halftime lead by scoring two second-half goals, but let a goal get by them in the 74th minute. Nino Tursic of Whatcom scored two goals in the 3-1 victory. CJ Hamel scored Whatcom's second goal in the 41st minute and was credited with the assist on Tursic's first goal in the first half of play.

A quick 22nd minute goal from the Shoreline women's team proved to be the game's only goal, as the Whatcom women suffered a 1-0 loss.
