COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: Orcas win in 4

The Whatcom Community College volleyball team earned a 23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 win Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Skagit Valley College.

Sabrina Schwindler had 23 kills, Sarah Cicchitti had 13 kills, Dani Lyndsay had 15 kills, Katie Cowan had 58 assists and Alex Stroino had 14 digs for the Orcas, who improved to 2-0 in conference and 11-4 overall.

"We've been doing really well," WCC coach Jeff McDonald said in a phone interview. "All our hitters have been productive and our defense has been playing really well.
