Having driven on the newly paved and nearly striped Cornwall Avenue, I was pleased to see that the left turn lane is now gone so that we can have nice bicycle lanes. As I was stopped in traffic to turn left everyone behind me also stopped, including a WTA bus that pulled around and passed me in the bicycle lane. I thought how nice it was that the driving public can be inconvenienced so the bicyclists can have free use of the road. I don’t mind sharing the road with bicyclists, but I think they should share the expense by being licensed and buying tabs once a year for their bicycles.
