I have no problem with enforcing laws for loud exhausts, as suggested by a previous letter writer, as long as it is uniformly enforced over all vehicles, not only exhausts but also music systems.

There are a lot of us who ride motorcycles that have factory installed noise compliant exhaust systems. The writer of this article cites Denver and New York as places that introduced this law. However, there are national motorcycle organizations that are fighting introduction of laws geared only towards motorcyclists. So to be fair to all, I suggest they enforce the laws uniformly over all vehicles.
