In the late ’70s, I was a student of Pierre Cochereau’s, then organist at Notre Dame de Paris (the cathedral). A controversy at the time was that the Concorde was too loud to fly over the continental U.S. at 110 decibels. Full organ at Notre Dame in 1976 was 114 decibels.
Big Ole uses the same principles as a pipe organ. Restore Ole to the way it was built, and they will hear!
