As a purple heart and bronze star veteran of the Pork chop Hill, Old Baldy, etc. battles in Korea, I feel disgusted with the Bellingham mayor and the City Council and the voters and non-voters who put them in office.

I was drafted and did not volunteer as our present deserters did. They were right there for the good stuff, such as enlistment bonus and the G.I. Bill, but when asked to do what was expected of volunteers they suddenly had a conscience.

For our elected governing body to neglect their duties (roads, police, fire, etc.) to take out time to support potentially treasonous act of creating sanctuary city is beyond comprehension.
