Michael Lilliquist has my vote for Bellingham City Council. He and I have worked together in youth programs, on church committees, and on the board of trustees for the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship. Most recently we have served as the team responsible for liaising with the architect and contractor on the Fellowship's building expansion project.

Such a big undertaking can be terribly stressful. I have never had so much fun disagreeing with anyone in my life. As a matter of fact, on those occasions, I feel better about disagreeing with Michael than I do agreeing with some other folks. I always come away from our meetings with tremendous smile, a sense of accomplishment and most importantly an honest feeling of being listened to and actually heard. He keeps the project focused on our goals and principles and needs.

I would vote for him for city council in a heartbeat on his style alone. This town could use his professionalism and his humor. It's handy that I also agree with his platform.

This is a guy you can work with, who respects and cooperates with all parties. He will be a representative in the true sense of the word.
