The once great General Motors has been driven into bankruptcy with incompetent management at the wheel, coddled workers in the back seat, and a fuel tank loaded with nonsensical CAFE standards while stock and bond holders watched passively from the curb.

It is now about to exit bankruptcy with incompetent management at the wheel, the President and Congress riding shotgun and giving directions, still coddled (although fewer) workers in the back seat, and a fuel tank loaded with even tougher CAFE standards.

In effect the new GM is a rolling corpse on government bail out support. I believe when enough taxpayers finally realize that they are the biggest losers in this situation they will force Congress to pull the plug and GM will be laid to rest. Until then, fasten your seat belts and hang on to your wallets because this final trip to the corporate graveyard will be a very expensive ride.
