Abraham J. Herschel said: "racism is man's greatest threat to man - the maximum of hatred for a minimum of reasons."

The Values Voters Summit 2008 took place at the Washington Hilton Sept. 12-14, where organizers vowed to "Defend Godly values against the liberal agenda." For sale during this meeting were boxes of "Obama Waffle Mix," featuring an Aunt Jemima-like cartoon of Sen. Barack Obama with popping eyes and big thick lips smiling broadly at a plate of waffles.

On top was another drawing of Obama with an Arab headdress with the caption "point box toward Mecca for tastier waffles." On the back, Obama was attired in Mexican garb, offering "open border Fiesta Waffles for Illegal immigrants."

When a reporter asked salesman Bob DeMoss if he considered his product to be a racial stereotype, he replied "Think of Newman's Own," claiming it to be just another personality-branded food product. Reports say the booth was doing brisk business until the summit handler finally stopped the sale on Saturday.

Army chief council Joseph Welch once asked of Sen. Joseph Mccarthy "have you no sense of decency?" I would direct this question to the aforementioned wafflers.
