In my years of association with John Blethen I have known him to be an honorable man who sees beyond the thin veneer of schemes and manipulation that govern most political systems of our time.

He is driven by a seemingly rare quality we all could learn from. John is driven by what he believes to be right. Right as in what humans require to live long and well; clean air to breathe, safe water to drink, and a healthy and prosperous community.

He has unfailingly lent his voice and stood up when most watched from the sidelines. Few have been as generous with their time, energy and money in support of our community. As a small business owner and active participant in our community, John has proven he is willing to do what it takes to evoke the kind of change we really want in our town.

When I cast my vote for John Blethen it will be because he is grounded in values I share - yet his skills and track record have shown that he can live in harmony with his ideals and get the job done, ethically, honorably - the right way. John Blethen deserves your vote.
