Group offers support for four candidates

The Whatcom Chapter of Washington Conservation Voters works for candidates who are environmental champions. We work with elected officials on local environmental policies and track the progress of environmental ordinances and resolutions.

This election season, we have made the Whatcom County Council our priority, supporting Laurie Caskey- Schreiber, Dan McShane, Ken Mann, and Carl Weimer. Not only do these candidates support the 8,400-acre forest reserve on the shores of Lake Whatcom, they support the preservation of farmland, the prevention of sprawl through careful land-use planning, cooperative partnership with the city and port, stream and shoreline protection, and strong leadership in the restoration of Lake Whatcom. Join WCV in supporting these great candidates.
