Jay would bring fresh perspective to board

Michael Jay genuinely cares about the future of education in Bellingham. I have had the opportunity to work closely with Michael in his role as PTSA President at Squalicum High School. He is an excellent communicator and has engaged parents in becoming more involved at Squalicum to support staff and help every student reach their full potential.

Michael's background as a teacher, and his current job in the education industry, will work to our advantage. He is well versed in a variety of education systems and programs used around the country as well as our district budget and issues that the board has been dealing with over the last several years. He thinks outside the box and would bring a fresh perspective to our school board. Michael will hit the ground running and immediately be able to contribute knowledgably to discussion on current issues, rather than needing several months to become familiar with board structure and policy.

There is no doubt in my mind that Michael Jay is the right candidate for Bellingham School Board position No. 5.
