I encourage you to vote for Rogan Jones for the Bellingham School Board, Position No. 4. Rogan is an experienced businessman with a savvy for budget and is a Bellingham native. I believe he knows what the people of Bellingham want and need in their public schools, and has a vision not only for progress in education but to maintain the health and stability of our community. He has two children attending elementary school in the Bellingham School district, so has a vested interest in successful outcomes for our schools.

I believe that Rogan knows that problems can be solved to maintain and improve the quality of public education without closing neighborhood schools. Keeping our neighborhood schools intact preserves vital communities that are safe for all ages to live and play. Keeping neighborhood schools open and allowing children to walk to their schools is an eco-friendly option that corresponds to the environmental in-fill projects, as well.

Bellingham doesn't need big box schools on the outskirts of town, school bus traffic or long lines of cars waiting to drop off kids. I urge you to vote for Rogan Jones and keep Bellingham the family friendly community that is has always been.
