I strongly urge all residents of Whatcom County who truly care about preserving farm lands, protecting Lake Whatcom, managing growth and what our children and grandchildren will inherent to vote for Laurie Caskey-Schreiber, candidate for the at-large seat on the Whatcom County Council.

As a County Council member for the last eight years Laurie has fought hard for these goals, held the line on taxes and stood tall against what I consider tactics of intimidation and misinformation by interests that would destroy that which we treasure. I am proud of her service to this community, I am grateful to have someone who works hard on my behalf. I know what an understanding, honest and sincere person she is.

I have known Laurie her entire life, I am her older cousin and can testify to her sincere commitment to this place we all call home. I knew her grandfather Carl Caskey, who retired as a supervisor from the city of Bellingham public works department, and the deep appreciation for this community that he instilled in her.

So if you want a hard-working, conscientious member who listens to her constituents, the choice is clear, re-elect Laurie Caskey-Schreiber to the Whatcom County Council.
