I am a resident of Lummi Island and am very worried about the future of our branch library and the fate of all the Whatcom County libraries. We on Lummi Island, like other county residents, depend on our local library to give us access to the latest books, DVDs, magazines, research materials, and many excellent programs for adults and children which support and enrich our community. I can't imagine a better place to spend twenty dollars than on my libraries. That is roughly the amount most people's taxes will rise if the library levy is approved.

I will vote "yes" for my local library. Our libraries provide the least expensive and most valuable resource for our communities. Don't miss this opportunity to have a voice in wise spending of your tax dollars. Vote "yes" for our communities, vote "yes" for libraries.
