Says Walker best for several reasons

The waterfront redevelopment presents tremendous opportunities to build exceptional public access and create sustainable jobs - all in an environmentally sound and fiscally responsible manner. I feel Scott Walker is the best candidate to balance these critical issues.

It has been a joy to raise my children in this wonderfully supportive community with its strong public education system. However, I'm concerned that they will have to go elsewhere to find careers.

I welcome retirees to our town, but our future depends on Whatcom County attracting new graduates and young families with meaningful employment. Scott understands how to create jobs. Now is not the time, as some candidates have suggested, to go back to the drawing board - now is the time to move forward with action.

I feel strongly that Scott Walker has the best background, commitment and leadership to strike the right balance on these issues and I hope you'll join me in voting for him for Port of Bellingham commissioner.
