Law enforcement officials are looking for the driver of a vehicle that apparently crashed into a utility pole, knocking telephone wires across Mount Baker Highway east of Bellingham on Thursday morning, July 9.
The suspect vehicle was last seen heading east on Kelly Road, said Washington State Patrol spokesman and trooper Keith Leary.
Mount Baker Highway was blocked in both directions at Kelly Road for several hours after the 2:30 a.m. accident, which involved three other vehicles, Leary said.
He did not have any other information about the vehicles or drivers involved.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
