Bellingham School District officials have not yet announced contingency plans for classes for Whatcom Middle School students after the school suffered extensive damage in an early-morning fire.
Officials met at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, but as of 1:30 p.m. no decision had been announced.
District spokeswoman Tanya Rowe said early Thursday that classes wouldn't be held in the building anytime soon.
Classes at the school, 810 Halleck St., have been canceled for Thursday and Friday.
Details of the district's plan will be posted online as soon as they are released.
