NC congressman says he’ll go to Trump’s inauguration despite being ‘disgusted’

U.S. Rep. David Price, Democrat from Chapel Hill and Raleigh’s congressman, will be the only Democrat in North Carolina’s congressional delegation attending President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday Jan. 20, 2017. Price said Tuesday he’ll go but will wear a symbol of “respect” for Georgia Rep. John Lewis, who got in Trump’s twitter cross-hairs over the weekend after questioning Russia’s influence on the 2016 election and whether Trump is a legitimate president.

Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in ‘Star Wars,’ dies at 60

Actress and writer Carrie Fisher, who rose to global fame as the trail-blazing intergalactic heroine Princess Leia in the “Star Wars” franchise and later went on to establish herself as an author and screenwriter, suffered a heart attack on Friday during a flight to Los Angeles from London. Upon landing, she was quickly rushed to UCLA Medical Center, but after three days in intensive care, she died, a family publicist confirmed.
